Biography

Dr. Fatimo Ajoke Sulaimon, a Lecturer I in the Department of Anatomy at the University of Ilorin, has eight years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. She currently advises 200-level Anatomy students and focuses her multidisciplinary research on nutraceuticals for preventing neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson’s disease.

Dr. Sulaimon has published extensively in reputable journals and other academic outlets. She graduated with first-class honours in her undergraduate studies and earned distinction in her Master’s program. Among her numerous awards, she received University of Ilorin Scholarships for being the best student in 200 and 300 Level Anatomy, as well as prizes for best-graduating student in both the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences and the Department of Anatomy. Additionally, she received an ISN-CAEN travel grant to visit Prof. Amadi’s lab in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has secured travel grants to attend IBRO and ISN schools locally and internationally.
